Summary
Privacy Badger automatically learns to block invisible trackers. Instead of keeping lists of what to block, Privacy Badger automatically discovers trackers based on their behavior.

Privacy Badger sends the Global Privacy Control signal (
https://globalprivacycontrol.org/)
to opt you out of data sharing and selling, and the Do Not Track signal (
https://www.eff.org/issues/do-not-track)
to tell companies not to track you. If trackers ignore your wishes, Privacy Badger will learn to block them.

Besides automatic tracker blocking, Privacy Badger replaces potentially useful trackers (video players, comments widgets, etc.) with click-to-activate placeholders, and removes outgoing link click tracking on Facebook and Google, with more privacy protections on the way.

Safety
Risk impact

Privacy Badger requires a lot of risky permissions and is not safe to use. Avoid installing this add-on unless you absolutely trust this publisher.

Risk impact measures the level of extra permissions an extension has access to. A low risk impact extension cannot do much harms, whereas a high risk impact extension can do a lot of damage like stealing your password, bypass your security settings, and access your personal data. High risk impact extensions are not necessarily malicious. However, if they do turn malicious, they can be very harmful.

Risk likelihood

Privacy Badger is probably trust-worthy. Prefer other publishers if available. Exercise caution when installing this add-on.

Risk likelihood measures the probability that an Edge add-on may turn malicious. This is determined by the publisher and the Edge add-on reputation on Edge Add-on Store, the amount of time the Edge add-on has been around, and other signals about the Edge add-on. Our algorithms are not perfect, and are subject to change as we discover new ways to detect malicious extensions. We recommend that you always exercise caution when installing an Edge add-on, especially ones with higher risk impact and/or higher risk likelihood.

User reviews
Normally, I don't write reviews about browser extensions. But Privacy Badger has been an excellent one so far. I add it to every device I own. Also, badgers are adorable. 🥺💕

I use it along with Pi-hole and it's great! No intrusive ads, popups and other **** that slows down my browsing.

As someone who has been in IT for 25+ years and has been a Snr Engineer for at least 18 of them, I can say unabashedly that this is the best privacy tool out there. I combine this with Ghostery, as well as Ad Guard on all my browsers now. I thought just Ghostery would be fine, but there are always those sites that just sleep through the cracks... Not to mention the fact that even though you explicitly set your browser to "Do Not track" and to block 3rd party cookies, many, if not most, sites just ignore those items. Or state, "you have to have this one cookie in order for us to respect the not to track request.:" (rolling eyes) Thank God for this app/extension and the work they have done. Because of Privacy Badger your browsing on the web became safer from unwanted nosy sites. Bravo.
