2023-08-31 | Dan | Just exactly what's needed to STOP microsoft's abuse of our eyeballs and attention. Thanks, now I can work!
2023-08-08 | Cathy | I feel like I am living in 1984, the book. I want to see my Google when I open a new tab. Just because you have the same colours, doesn't mean you're the same browser.
2023-08-07 | Cook, | Developer: I would use this, except that Custom New Tab requires the new custom tab URL to start with https:// address. However, I use a local page on my C Drive as my designated home page, and that is what I need Custom New Tab to open. The problem is that by default Custom New Tab inserts an https:// as the start of the URL, thus making it impossible to use my local file as the URL. For instance: I entered as my desired new tab URL this local file: C:\HomeEdge\Bookmarks Work.htm ...but by default, Custom New Tab changed the above address to https://c/HomeEdge/Bookmarks%20Work.htm which is a non-existent resource that leads to nowhere. The above makes Custom New Tab useless for me, as promising as it looked. =>Can Custom New Tab be changed to allow absolute refs to local files? Or make the address bar totally blank? (That would of course allow users to enter potentially insecure resources, such as http:// or ftp:// but that responsibility is really on the user.) Thank you.
2023-08-05 | Keith | Very helpful to relieve me of the tedium of looking at what Microsoft wants me to see on MY PC. However something is switching it off every time I log off and its annoying having to keep switching it back on
2023-07-23 | Sajjad | so simple to use. just put the url to open on new tab. but there is something wrong which is that what if the internet connection is not available. the no internet view occur. i want to suggest that if the custom url not opened it should give the default new tab page.
2023-07-07 | Timothy | Got this because I am tired of seeing all of MSN's propaganda that I can never speak against. So I'm going to solve the issue by removing that trash tab page. It was never that and then it just showed up.
2023-06-15 | Sebastian | perfect plugin, just sad micro$oft failed to implement this themselves

2023-03-22 | John | I do really like this extension - once you've set it up, quick and easy, it just does what it does. A great extension, that manage to suppress Bing, if you want to replace it with another search engine.
2023-03-16 | Maxence | Bien mais se désactive automatiquement à chaque démarrage de Edge
2023-03-05 | Darryl | Love it
2023-03-05 | Rub' | Finally, a solution for the terrible and ******* move of trying to force you to use Bing by forcing you to use their start page ******** Microsoft
2023-03-01 | Marcello | It works for me. Now new tab is of my choosing.
2023-02-27 | Bruce | Note to developer: You app works well. I use Google for medical searches because it works the best and that is where I need my new Edge tab page set. However, every time there is an update to Edge they turn your app off. Is there any way in the registry to disable any changes or another way to prevent this? If I could locate in the registry where this change is, it would be easier for me to write some code that will quickly change it back. Any ideas?
2023-02-24 | Alan | Extensions keeps getting turned off on it's own. I blame Microsoft, please update and keep up the good work! 5-STARS! F### Y## Microsoft!
2023-02-24 | 作 | 无敌 | |
2023-02-12 | Jason | I ******* HATE monopoly power!!! **** Microsuck!!! Google is no better as a company. But I preferer it as a search engine. Edge makes it so difficult to switch away from their garbage edge tab that the only way is an extension!! How many people will never find this option and resent using that pile of ****
2023-01-31 | Michael | FINALLY I have control over the page that opens in a new tab!!
2023-01-13 | cod | Works as intended, don't listen to Richard, he does not know how to check settings. "Allow access to file URLs" If he would just click that button lol
2022-12-25 | George | HAHAHAHAHA **** So, I installed this and MS disabled the addon by default. Not because it's a security risk or anything like that, no no no. But because it does what it says and changes my new tab settings. I had to go in and manually enable this because MS REALLY doesn't want anyone to futz with the new page layout. Anyway, great add-on, does exactly what I expected even if MS tried their best to stop it. |
