| 2020-04-20 | Xbox | | I just installed this Extension in the current version of Edge/Chrome Version 81.0.416.58 (Official build) (64-bit). I wanted to see if the PDF read aloud works, and I found out that it does work, you have to load the PDF separately and it will actually read aloud the text that it finds in the PDF. I've not tested the rest of the extension, but it actually does work when you load the PDF document into the browser via the extension control dialog. A separate dialog box appears under the Read Aloud extension and in that box the text appears and there are controls to pause the playback, stop, reverse to a previous paragraph, forward to the next paragraph, change the font size, and the overall size of the readable text box that's being read aloud. I would say to those who have tried it and it didn't work for them, give it another try and make sure the extension is enabled and browser is updated. |

I have someone who needs this and has used it for a long time reading her pdf text books because she is disabled and cannot hold a book for very long... Why is this not working? I give the new edge three thumbs down. Especially since I read that downgrading to previous versions is not possible |
