Extension to get page titles and urls and format them as HTML, Markdown or for a Wiki to speed up and improve copying links

Titles Extension - Microsoft Edge Add-on to copy Page Titles & URLs

Titles Extension is an innovative add-on for the Microsoft Edge browser. Designed initially for personal use, it has been made available for all Edge users. It enables easy copying of webpage's title and URL in HTML, Markdown, or Wiki format. You can customize the format before copying it to the clipboard. It is particularly handy for bloggers, developers, and anyone who often finds themselves adding links to their content.

Add-on summary

The Titles Extension was originally designed for my personal use, however I have decided to host the source code on GitHub and publish the add-on. It works as a simple button that shows a dialog and allows you to copy the current page title and URL to the clipboard.

In addition to copying as HTML there are options to get the title and url as Markdown or in Wiki format. However with HTML Address tag output there are some other options available, the pop-up dialog allows customisation and adjustment before copying to the clipboard.

I originally used the Titles Extension when adding links to my Drupal website, which I edit with HTML, however the option for Markdown or Wiki output has also proved very useful. Hopefully this extension might be useful to someone else.

User reviews

Good alternative for "Get Title" on Chrome. Hope it can remember which format I chose last time.
