BOOKMARKS: A column on the left of the page for regularly visited sites. These are different from your normal bookmarks and do not impact them in any way. Upon initial install go to the settings page, set up your frequently visited sites using Markdown, separating them with a comma. When you return to the Dev Tabs page they will be there. The when you want to add a site to the list there is an '+' under the settings cog to add a single bookmark.
NEWS: I used Dev.to's articles API to integrate industry new. This will automatically populate a column with the top articles from dev.to's front page. The titles are links to the articles and the author names are links to their Twitter page.
GITHUB: Upon initial install, in the setting page, click on the 'GitHub Feed' option and fill in your GitHub username. Click save and when you go back to the Dev Tabs page your top 10 Repo's will be listed on the right of the page. Also while you are in the settings go down to ' GitHub Calendar' option and fill in your username. This will show your GitHub contribution graph on the Dev Tabs page. I left the settings separate in case you have two different accounts and want to display the Graph from one and the Repo's from another.
WEATHER: Just a simple current weather condition display. When you are in the settings, go to the 'Weather' option and click the button to locate yourself. Click 'OK' to allow access to your location and this will use Geo-location to acquire your coordinates. They will be stored on your machine in local storage. It will fetch your weather and display it on your screen. This extension does NOT track you. If you move locations and want your weather updated, you will have to go back to the options page and click the button again.
TWITTER: Dev.to has an extension to display an updated news feed or articles next to your Twitter feed. This extension borrows this feature and when you go to Twitter, a small, non-intrusive, news feed from Dev.to.
