Coil is a flat rate for Web Monetization. What that means is that you pay a fixed amount of money per month to Coil and Coil will stream money to websites as you browse.
Coil builds on an open standard called Web Monetization (webmonetization.org). This is a brand-new standard and not many websites support it yet. But it enables some amazing new experiences.

Works really well with an easy-to-use interface. Coil works with a growing number of sites and services and I love the fact that it's open-source. Recommended.
Works great. At a glance, you can see if the page you're visiting is monetized or not; you can turn it off in "Extensions" if desired. Have used it for over a month now, and not a glitch. Simple, clean, interface. There's a "chat" feature at lower right of Settings where you can talk to a COIL person if you have any question, and they are *very* responsive and helpful.
