Summary
The Thycotic Password Filler extension for Secret Server has been built with a new modern look and feel and provides secure access to your web based Secrets.

This extension requires use and integration with Secret Server version 10.7.52 and later.

Features include: Creating secrets (simple and advanced methods), Secret template selection, generating complex passwords, saving Secrets back to Secret Server, credential population in user name/password fields.

Users authenticate to Secret Server directly from the web plugin. Includes support for 2FA options such as DUO, single sign-on, SAML and other multi-factor authentication mechanisms.

The extension automatically identifies the existence of credential fields and will automatically populate them based on existing Secrets, as well as identifying manual entry of new credentials in a web page and offering to save them as a secret.

In version 2.0 and up the Web Password Filler support web session recording for any Secret Server Secrets that are configured for recording.

Version 3.0 and above include a new user interface with several user and performance improvements including bug fixes

Version 3.2.0 includes a UI overhaul of the Add Secret workflow. Users can checkout a secret requiring comment. Added a refresh icon to the main tab to allow users to manually refresh the list of Recent and Favorite secrets. Please see release notes for details.

Safety
Risk impact

Secret Server Web Password Filler requires a lot of risky permissions and is not safe to use. Avoid installing this add-on unless you absolutely trust this publisher.

Risk impact measures the level of extra permissions an extension has access to. A low risk impact extension cannot do much harms, whereas a high risk impact extension can do a lot of damage like stealing your password, bypass your security settings, and access your personal data. High risk impact extensions are not necessarily malicious. However, if they do turn malicious, they can be very harmful.

Risk likelihood

Secret Server Web Password Filler is probably trust-worthy. Prefer other publishers if available. Exercise caution when installing this add-on.

Risk likelihood measures the probability that an Edge add-on may turn malicious. This is determined by the publisher and the Edge add-on reputation on Edge Add-on Store, the amount of time the Edge add-on has been around, and other signals about the Edge add-on. Our algorithms are not perfect, and are subject to change as we discover new ways to detect malicious extensions. We recommend that you always exercise caution when installing an Edge add-on, especially ones with higher risk impact and/or higher risk likelihood.

Not leaving a review because I know nobody at Thycotic will ever read it.

It's like the developers of Secret Server have never seen a password manager or browser plugin for one. Logs me out constantly, which is probably for security reasons but it forgets the server URL too, so it's easier to go to the web version and copy and paste the details, which makes the plugin pointless. When you are logged in it fails to find any secrets unless they've been assigned to the exact page you are on, or one you were on earlier. Very minimal options. Don't bother with this rubbish.

Other bad reviews are correct. Not only that, we have been trying to get them to fix the broken launcher. I have created several support tickets, spent hours helping them debug, shows that URL passed is empty, they escalate to developer, then promptly close. I am putting out this review so that perhaps someone else can push to fix. The web filler was a key selling point and it is unusable. Delinea, this is bad and you are clear spending zero effort on UI and all of your attention on backend. Users don't care about backend. We have had the product for over a year and still cannot deploy to end users because of the web filler.
