User reviews

Users find the Salesforce Chrome extension valuable for integrating email communication with Salesforce records, improving productivity by avoiding manual copying of emails. It streamlines workflows and aids task organization. However, multiple users report frequent disconnections, timeout notifications, and occasional bugs especially affecting key features like email template selection in new emails. While the tool generally enhances sales and CRM tasks, connectivity and stability issues disrupt the experience. Users suggest improvements in extensibility and smoother, more reliable syncing with Gmail and Salesforce.
Pros
  • Integration with Gmail is useful for logging emails directly into Salesforce records, saving time and effort compared to copying and pasting.
  • The extension streamlines workflows by bringing CRM data into the inbox, helping to keep tasks organized and projects on track.
  • Overall, the tool is appreciated for being professional, intuitive, and a great feature for sales teams.
  • It helps keep multiple projects organized and supports tracking communication efficiently.
  • Users find it indispensable for optimizing time and managing activities related to leads and relationships.
Cons
  • Frequent disconnection and timeout notifications disrupt the user experience; users often need to reconnect or refresh the extension.
  • Buggy behavior at times, including issues with UI elements disappearing (e.g., email template selection when composing new emails).
  • Lag and syncing issues due to the requirement of a live Salesforce instance impair seamless integration.
  • Limited configurability and extensibility compared to some alternative solutions like Cirrus Insight.
  • Some users report occasional need to log in and out or refresh to get the extension activated properly.

While composing new email, it won't allow selection of email templates that we have inside Salesforce. Selecting email templates is the crucial functionality for our teams, it works if you are replying in a thread, but when you are starting a new communication, by clicking on the Compose button, whenever you minimise the popup window for composing in order to access templates through extension, button to select email templates disappears. Would be great if this can get sorted.

The integration is useful when logging emails to Salesforce. However, I've had major issues with connectivity and getting re-connected. Less so recently, so maybe it was a bug that they fixed. I'm happy with the extension option!

This integration is very useful! It's so helpful to add an e-mail to a record in Salesforce, rather than Copying and Pasting the text (which is what I had to do in our old CRM). It is a little glitchy at times, but overall a great feature.
