What is Gene Info?
"Gene Info" is an Edge browser extension engineered for genetics enthusiasts, researchers, and scientists. It allows users to instantly view gene information by simply double-clicking on any gene name or accession on a webpage. The fetched information can be customized and viewed as a detailed report or a condensed tooltip with links navigating to resources. The data are pooled from well-known repositories including UniProt, BioGRID, Compartments subcellular localization database, Gene Ontology Consortium, HGNC, Human Protein Atlas, IntAct, OMIM, Pfam, ProteomicsDB and Reactome. It is compatible with human and model organism genes, making 'Gene Info' a handy tool in genetic studies.
