Alright, listen up folks. If you want this application to work on a personal laptop, you need to log in to the AF Portal and search for OWA+ in the search bar. You will find a statement that reads, "As of 2 Nov 2020, the S/MIME guides have been updated to reflect this change. These installation guides are available at the AF Portal SMIME page located here." Download the word document and follow the instructions. Basically, once you download this app, you need to manage your extensions in the chrome browser settings. |

The add-on DOES work in Edge, but I had to add the Outlook URL(s) manually to the add-in settings first. I also allowed the add-in access to file URLs. It may also be important to allow pop-ups from outlook.office.com. The next time I viewed a signed message, I was prompted to download and install SmimeOutlookWebChrome.msi, which appears in Programs as "Microsoft S/MIME Control for Outlook on the web for Edge/Chrome". After that, the signature was read and reported. |

After downloading it says I still need to download. No further instructions. Have exited and reloaded the email. Would rather get punched in the stomach than to continue dealing with this. |

Funktioniert nicht mit dem Microsoft Edge Browser... Hatte versucht mir die Eigene Signatur anzeigen und verifizieren zu lassen, doch im neuen Fenster kommt immer noch die Meldung das die Erweiterung nicht installiert sei. |

Works fine on Window 11 with Edge - but ONLY after importing your private key. Otherwise, it will install, and messages will still remain encrypted - because there's no key available to unencrypt them. In my case, I had to retrieve my private key from my company's PKI server. |

Cannot use S/MIME extension on Mac because you also have to install the S/MIME Control which is not available for Mac. |
