Forces YouTube to open the player in the theater mode (full-width mode) even if you are logged out

Theater Mode for YouTube™ (large player view)
What is Theater Mode for YouTube™ (large player view)?
Theater Mode for YouTube™ (large player view) is an extension for the Edge browser that enables YouTube to open in theater mode by default, regardless of your login status. Seamlessly functioning without any configurable options, it maintains theater mode for every visit. It employs genuine YouTube theater mode, not achieved through CSS or JS tricks. Also, it can be used in incognito mode upon permission. The extension works by setting a relevant cookie for each visit and triggering the necessary button press when the player loads.

Summary

This extension enables YouTube to default to theater mode for the player, even if you're not logged in. If you prefer the default mode, you can easily switch back by clicking the button in the player or using the "KeyT" shortcut. However, the next time you visit, the player will automatically be in theater mode again. The extension doesn't offer any configurable options; it functions seamlessly. It's important to note that the theater mode activated by the extension is authentic and not achieved through CSS or JS tricks; it uses YouTube's actual theater mode.

To use this feature in incognito mode, you must allow the extension to be active in this mode.

How does the extension work? The extension employs two methods to ensure the player is in theater mode:

  1. It sets the relevant cookie on each visit.
  2. It triggers the necessary button press when the player loads.

It works, but the caveat that on my browsers it forces the wrong theater. It enters theater mode, but the video is fit to width, not "any margin", and as a result the top and bottom of the video is cut. I have to press T twice to make the video normally viewable. it's better than the small thing YT does but it's not really working, either. I have my zoom set to 175%, on a 4K screen.
