Add-on summary

Reminds you to take a break, because breaks are good for your health and productivity Do you work for long periods of time and forget to take regular breaks? Break helper reminds you to take a break with a notification and helps you track your progress with timers and statistics page.

How to use To start using Break Helper you don't really need to do anything, just install it. The default settings use improved Pomodoro technique (28 minutes of work and 2 minutes of break time). If you want to change these settings to other preprogrammed techniques (like 20-20-20 or 50-10) or design your own custom technique, just click on the Break helper icon and inside the popup click "Settings" icon. You will be redirected to a Options page where you can set your configuration.

To check how much time is left until the next break simply click on Break helper icon and inside the popup you will find a timer that tells you how much time is left until the next break.

There's no option to STOP the timer. It makes no sense. Once you install it in your browser and set it up it just keeps running. This is a simple feature that should be included. What if I'm done studying and don't want this to run on my browser while I just normally use my computer????

DOES NOT WORK AS DESCRIBED. Description says: "If you want to change these settings to other preprogrammed techniques (like 20-20-20 or 50-10) or design your own custom technique, just click on the Break helper icon and inside the popup click "Settings" icon." There are two issues with achieving that functionality. The first is: There is no option for a 20-20-20 at all. You can only do two intervals like work time and break time. Second issue is that in order to do a work time and break time, you must use a 'full screen popup' alert style. If you select the 'notification' alert style, you no longer get any breaks - you just get a sound notification and your work time starts over again. Still searching for an interval timer similar to 'Interval Timer' on Chrome by: Takashi Suzuki where I can set at least 3 different intervals - 20 minutes for sitting time, 8 minutes for standing time and 2 minutes to walk around so that I practice healthy movement through out my work day.

Great extensions. I really like that it makes a sound at the start and at the end. Would be nice if the app allowed to take a break that's less than 1 minute.
