What is Temporary Mobile View?
The 'Temporary Mobile View' is an Edge extension that provides a mobile-friendly browsing experience on desktop. It switches the view mode of a web page, simulating an Android, iOS, or Kindle device. Users can customize CSS rules for this view and select different simulated devices. It reverts to regular mode with one click, and allows toggling between modes from the context menu. Some sites might redirect to their mobile-specific URLs by default. This extension temporarily modifies the user-agent string leading to a seamless browsing experience.

Add-on summary

- Some websites employ distinct URLs for their mobile-friendly versions, often redirecting users to the mobile version (e.g., en.wikipedia.org => en.m.wikipedia.org). In such cases, even after a refresh, you will remain on the mobile-friendly hostname. Be sure to correct the address in the address bar before refreshing the page.
