The "Excerpt with Link" extension copies selected text and the associated webpage link (URL) to the clipboard. This provides a quick and simple way to cite website text.
Select desired text, then open the context menu and select "Excerpt with Link" from the menu. You can normally open the context menu by right-clicking.

The current implementation can't accurately locate the selected text, only the web page. Edge has a "copy link to highlight" option, which may be upgraded. Thank you.
Simple and useful. Could you add an option to copy the link in markdown format: text in squared brakets and link in parenthesis, with no spaces in between? Thanks.
Handy extension, I've been looking for something like this for a long time!
-- Two feature suggestions:
1. Option to surround the text with square brackets. Combined with the parenthesis option for the link text, you could paste right into a markdown doc.
2. Option to copy the text as a link.
