What is Web Archives?
Web Archives is an Edge add-on that enables users to search and view archived and cached versions of web pages from various platforms, including Wayback Machine, Archive.is and Google. It is an open source project supported by a community of enthusiasts. To use it, simply right-click onto the page or link you want to archive. Furthermore, users can customize the sources and the order of search from the extension's options. The initiative for this extension has user privacy at heart- the only data sent during a search is the URL to the requested service.

PRO TIP: search for a link without visiting the web page by right-clicking on the link and searching from the context menu.

A handful of search modes are offered that serve different use cases. The search mode can be set independently for the context menu and the browser toolbar from the extension's options.

Search modes: • Tab: search for the web page opened in the active tab. This is the default search mode. • URL: search for a custom page URL.
