IPVanish Secure Browser is designed to provide a secure, anonymous browsing experience. Whether you're working, shopping, or streaming, our Microsoft Edge add-on offers a range of features to enhance your online activities and protect you while using the web.

How it Works

When you use the IPVanish Secure Browser add-on, IPVanish opens a virtual browser window specifically for you on our servers in the cloud. You’ll access this virtual browser via an interactive video feed from your standard Edge browser. Whatever you type, click, scroll, and copy/paste on your device will be replicated to the browser in the IPVanish cloud.

Because your searches and clicks are replicated remotely, no activity occurs on your device. This shields your device from all threats, including malicious links, malware, tracking, and more. Additionally, no browsing history, cookies, or site data will be stored on your device when Secure Browser runs. This is similar to InPrivate mode, but IPVanish Secure Browser goes further. Unlike InPrivate mode, third parties can’t see which websites you visit, advertisers can’t track your IP address or device information through fingerprinting, and malware can’t be downloaded onto your device.

Key Features:

• Virus Protection: No activity takes place on your machine, so any potential malicious link you click or virus you download will not be able to infect your device. Instead, it will only be downloaded to the server in the cloud before it is quarantined and deleted.

• Automatic Browsing History Removal: Your browsing history isn’t stored on your local device; it isn’t stored on ours either. When you close the Secure Browser window, all information from the session is deleted from our server immediately.

• Digital Fingerprinting Prevention: Websites and advertisers track users through digital fingerprinting, collecting data like device type, OS version, browser version, and more. With the Secure Browser, you access sites via an interactive video feed, keeping your personal data hidden. If you don't log into services, your activity remains untraceable.
