'Open in Firefox' is an Edge extension that facilitates seamless link transfer from Edge to Firefox. Whether it's a current tab, link, or multiple tabs, this add-on sends them directly to Firefox. It smartly detects if Firefox is open, choosing to start a new instance or just a new tab. Its managed storage support makes it configurable by an admin, adding to user convenience.

"Open in Firefox" extension opens the current tab or links in the Firefox browser. Using this extension you can send links directly from Edge browser to Firefox browser without the need to manually copy and paste links.
If a Firefox instance is opened, then the link is opened in a new browser tab, however, if Firefox is not opened, a new Firefox window is opened.
For this extension to open links in the Firefox browser you will need to install a minimal native client. The instruction to install the native client is displayed once a link opening is requested. There are two short video tutorials in the screenshot section for both Windows and Linux or Mac operation systems if you want to see the installation steps of the native client.
This extension supports managed storage which means some preferences can be configured by the domain administrator
I want use Edge for PWAs. But my default browser is Firefox. I want to click on links in PWAs that open in Firefox. This extension helps me to that. I installed the extension in Edge, enabled Reverse Mode, and installed the native client. Thanks!
If I'm understanding correctly, the native client creates a server which listens on localhost and executes commands received, such as list all the files in a directory, copy, move and delete files, or execute any process or script... which sounds like a huge security risk. Why does the native client need all this functionality? What am I not understanding here?
Simple and does the job. I use Microsoft Edge for most of my work but there are some things I prefer to view in Firefox. This simple extension creates a toolbar button and a right-click link to open any page or link in Firefox. Note that it requires an extra step. A (silent) YouTube video link in the extension preferences shows you how.
